From Kew's historic gardens and collections to its ground-breaking scientific work, Kew has always been at the forefront of botanical research, exploring, discovering and documenting the features and properties of plants and working with partners around the world to achieve its mission - "to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life" RBG Kew celebrates its 250th anniversary in 2009.
