The Princess of Wales Conservatory

The Princess of Wales Conservatory, famed for its rare orchid collections offers a unique, additional hire venue for a cocktail reception of up to 200 guests.

There are 10 environmental zones ranging from arid to wet tropics, which your guests can explore, savouring the different climates and plants which range from tiny orchids to giant water lilies.

The Princess of Wales Conservatory is a short stroll or Explorer trip from the Orangery, Cambridge Cottage and Palace Pavilion Marquee, making it an ideal pre-dinner, add-on venue.

Kew Explorer - Tours With Commentary

The Kew Explorer offers a great way to gain an introduction to the Gardens. Whether it is for a corporate event or a wedding, the Kew Explorer provides you with a wonderful overview of our outstanding 300 acres of gardens.

We have two Kew Explorer vehicles which can comfortably hold up to 72 guests each and can be booked privately from 5.30pm on weekdays and weekends. A standard Explorer tour takes approximately 35 minutes with live commentary by one of our drivers, covering Kew history, festivals, research and plant conservation information. We can, however, tailor the commentary specifically to your event. Your guests will be escorted to and from the vehicle at a pre-arranged location within the Gardens. One 35 minute taster tour around the Gardens with commentary costs £300 plus VAT. Individually tailored tours and quotations are available upon request.
