Plant DNA techniques for KS4 and KS5

 

The course will focus on genetic engineering techniques and cheap, safe practical investigations using plant DNA.

You will carry out a range of analysis techniques from plant DNA extraction and laboratory electrophoresis to CD and web-based software for genomics and proteomics.

Participants will receive technical manuals for the practical investigations, guides to free software tools and support resources and free biotechnology equipment to assist in introduction into the classroom.

£100 teacher bursary available for CPD courses in March!
