WINTER WARMER WALK

Thursday 22 January

Tutor: Paul Reader
Venue: Wakehurst Place

Come and burn off some of those lingering Christmas calories and enjoy a brisk walk with a senior member of Wakehurst’s horticultural staff around some of the formal areas of the Garden. Learn about gardening in winter and gain inspiration from the beautiful shrubs and plants flowering in the Winter Garden. The restaurant will be open for hot soup etc. if you want to treat yourselves to lunch after the walk.

ORCHIDS FOR BEGINNERS

Thursday 19 February
10.30am – 3.30pm

Tutor: Jim Durrant
Venue: Kew

This one day course aims to give you the knowledge and confidence to be able to grow orchids successfully in your own home. Beginning with an introduction to the wonderful world of orchids, the tutor will then give advice as to the best kinds to grow and the steps involved in keeping them looking their best.

Course Fee: £50 (£45 Concessions, Friends of Kew)
